Privacy
Short, because there is not much to say. Your files are never sent anywhere, so most of what a privacy policy normally covers does not apply here.
Your files
Files you convert are read by JavaScript running in your browser and processed by WebAssembly on your own device. They are not uploaded, not transmitted, and not stored anywhere by us — there is no server-side component that could receive them.
Converted results exist in your browser’s memory until you save them or close the tab. There is no retention window to wait out and no “delete my files” button to press, because there is nothing held on our side to delete.
You can confirm this yourself. Open your browser’s developer tools, watch the network tab, and run a conversion. What you will see requested is the page itself, the conversion engine, and — on a deployment with advertising switched on — the AdSense script and its ad frames. None of those requests carries your file, because the file never leaves the tab it was opened in.
What is stored on your device
- Cached engine files. The WebAssembly engines are cached by your browser like any other static asset, so a second conversion does not re-download them. Clearing your browser cache removes them.
- Saved presets. If you save a named conversion preset (a format pair plus its options), it is written to this browser’s
localStorageon your own device. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it. - Nothing else. There are no accounts, no login, no conversion history, and nothing of yours is synced to a server — the cache and any saved presets both live only in this browser.
Cookies and tracking
This deployment has advertising switched on, so it is no longer accurate to say the site sets no cookies at all. AIFreeConverters itself still sets none directly — there is no login, no first-party analytics and no tracker we operate. But the page loads Google AdSense, and AdSense and the advertising partners it works with use cookies to serve and measure ads. Those cookies can be used to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site, or to other sites on the internet.
In Google’s own words, this is what its advertising cookies do: enable Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can see and control that at Google’s Ads Settings, including turning off personalised advertising entirely, and read how Google’s partners handle this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Third parties
The site’s typeface is loaded through Next.js’s built-in Google Fonts support, which downloads the font file once at build time and serves it from this site’s own domain from then on. Because of that, your browser never makes a request to Google to render this page — there is no Google Fonts request to disclose.
Google, through AdSense, is the third party actually contacted while you use the site: your browser loads a script and, wherever a slot is filled, an ad creative, both from Google’s ad-serving domains. What that involves is covered above, under Cookies and tracking. The conversion engines are unaffected by any of this — they are still served from this site’s own domain, not a third-party CDN, and still never see your file.
Children
The site collects no personal information from anyone, of any age, because it collects no personal information at all.

Changes
If this policy changes, the change will appear on this page. Since the architecture makes collecting your files impossible rather than merely forbidden, the file-handling substance of it is unlikely to change without the product changing first — though the advertising sections above will change automatically the moment advertising is switched on or off.
